RomeVideoGameLab is the first Italian Festival dedicated to the applied games, those video games that do not have entertainment as their main purpose, but rather the learning or practice of a skill. Produced by Cinecittà s.p.a. in collaboration with IIDEA (Italian Interactive & Digital Entertainment Association), the festival consists of numerous sections ranging from educational activities to meetings and lectio magistralis, from exhibitions and retrogaming to B2B between developers and potential buyers, from eSports tournaments to hakathon, but also moments of entertainment with Cosplay and concerts with video game music.
After the success of the first edition of 2018, RomeVideoGameLab becomes a regular annual event.
The festival makes use of important partnerships such as: Ministry of Culture, MIUR, ITA Italian trade agency, Regione Lazio-Lazio Innova, Municipality of Rome, CNR, La Sapienza University, Treccani and London Game Festival.
